| Expt: Dept: HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 2/LG. Jan. 6th. 1928. Col. The Master of Sempill, Humfrey-Sandberg Co. Ltd., 40, Grosvenor Gardens, London S.W.1. My dear Sempill, Thank you for your letter of the 3rd.inst. I am returning to you under separate cover the small model clutch you kindly loaned to us. The position as regards applying the free wheel to our cars is that at the moment we are not interested. We have decided we can spend our time more usefully investigating other more urgent and useful problems. This does not prevent you, if you wish, making and supplying with a free wheel which will fit on to one of our cars; it would then win through on its merits. You realise quite well, that the free wheel to us is no novelty, so when it was decided to spend no time on this it was done with the knowledge of the possible advantages and disadvantages of the free wheel. I sincerely hope that we have not put you to any inconvenience in this matter. With all best wishes, I am, Yours sincerely, | ||
