| - 2 - Now P = RV/375 & R = K.AV^2 ∴ P = K.AV^3 / 375 If P is constant at 116 H.P. and A is constant at 21.6 sq.ft. Then with the corrected K = .001561 V = ((116 x 375) / (.00125 x 21.6))^(1/3) = 116.5 M.P.H. However, on the standard Bentley we know that 118 H.P. at the clutch corresponds to 92.5 H.P. at the road, so we ought to put the efficiency at 78.4%. This would have given Sr. a road wheel horse power of 110 H.P. and not 131 H.P. In that case the speed would be approx. 109 x (110/131)^(1/3) = 109.5 M.P.H. Ev. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
