Wraith II Bodies.

Ref: E {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} /Ev. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 2/MN.28.10.36.

We are sending you herewith a copy of the specification for the second Wraith body, 25.G.6., drawing of which Lec.5290 has already been sent to you. We should be glad to receive your criticisms. In the meantime we are instructing the body.

We would take this opportunity in the absence of E, who is abroad, to reply to your Cx. {Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} 4/KN. {D. G. McKechnie - Sales} 6.11.36. under the numbered headings.

1) There is no difficulty in using the new Park Ward division instead of a dropping division, and we have included this in the specification.
As this body has already 2" more knee room for the back seat passengers than a similar body on the 25 H.P., the use of the Park Ward division will make 4" in all. Actually, we shall be glad to move forward the rear seat slightly to improve the head room without lengthening the body and to still more improve the ride.

2) The height of the back seat when the cushion is compressed should read 37", and we shall obtain this if we move the back seat slightly forward. The reason we lost this head room is that the rear seat had to be raised in order to get leg room when we deleted the large wells. Lec.5182 had deep wells whereas the proposed design Lec.5290 has shallow wells or no wells at all.

3) The slope of the front door leading edge is an absolute maximum and such a door only just clears a spare wheel on the side carrier when the latter has a wheel cover. Owing to the moving forward of the engine over the front wheels and shortening the distance between the front wheels and the dash it is impossible to push the spare wheel any further forward. The spare wheel cannot be raised any higher or it will mask the waist moulding inside elevation.
