12.25 p.m.

When RHC. {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} was driving GAE-20 to London on Sat. last, one of the doors flew open, causing some damage. RHC. {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} asked Mr. Evans to send the car to a Coachbuilder for an estimate of time and cost. Thrupp & Maberly estimate that the repair will take 8 days, and that the cost will be approx. £15.

JLE. {J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} will ring you up this afternoon between 4.30 and 5 p.m., to ascertain whether he should instruct the Coachbuilders to proceed.

Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer}

Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} instructed that repairs should be proceeded with in London. Car will not therefore be ready for collection this week-end.
