| HOTEL & CAFÉ DE FRANCE CHATEAUROUX(French test region) Téléphone 21 Le ..................................... 193 To Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rem. On the Petrol Pump & Filter unit which was fitted to B.22.Ati, the petrol was sucked from the top of the filter (as per the A.C. type) I am wondering whether a scheme could be carried out similarly to the attached rough sketch where the petrol is sucked from the bottom of the filter. The idea is that on the present scheme if the petrol should reach boiling point the vapours naturally rises to the top & the pumps can only suck in the vapours, whereas if we take the feed from the bottom they will have more chance of sucking petrol only. I realise that there is the chance of any sediment being sucked up from the bottom but with 2 Gauze filters of fine mesh, this shouldn't be much work though. If you think it is worth while trying this perhaps you will please get R.H.C. to get the necessary drawing made. A.S/H.Browning | ||
