The steering, stability, and riding qualities are very good - the steering is particularly free from "joggles".

The "par" or "groan" is unpleasant, particularly between 40 and 50 miles per hour.

Carburation is poor and frequently "loads up" - this may be aggravated by L.S.Jet being too strong.

There is a single cylinder exhaust blow. 5

There is a bad piston knock when starting from cold which appears to be in No.4. cylinder - it does not last long, probably due to the effect of extra oil, it is however very loud and noticeable until it disappears. 4

There is quite a lot of contraction noise from the silencer when cooling down. 6

The instrument lighting scheme is not working. The main switch i.e. for lamps and ignition is not accessible from the driving seat.

Torque reaction is very good.

Gear box silence very good.

The axle is not quiet. 2

Oil pump noisy. 1

Engine gears have a dry uneven noise at low speeds, this is very marked starting from cold, and does not disappear even when engine is thoroughly warmed up. 3
