ACCELERATOR PEDALS.

Some difficulties are experienced from time to time with various cars, particularly those with special seatings, in the smooth operation of the accelerator pedal, because the foot does not rest squarely on the accelerator pedal plate owing to its angle and at some period or other of the stroke the sole of the foot is only bearing on one edge. (upper or lower)

This is specially the case with the 20 h.p. and particularly with the raked column 20 h.p.

It is considered that the operation of the accelerator pedal would be much improved and made more smooth if this pedal plate were given a slight radius so that at all times the foot would bear on the plate itself and not on the edge.

A radius of about 3" would seem to be about correct for this plate and would, I feel sure, be an all round improvement.

Please let me know what you think of this.
