| H {Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} /2. To HPS. {Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} c. to HPS {Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} /RH. {R. Hollingworth} Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /NRC. {N. R. Chandler} 5/JH.26.4.39. BENTLEY V. {VIENNA} Flywheel, Flat Disc. Please prepare a disc to Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 589, two prints herewith. This disc is ground flat on both sides in order to reduce cost. Before fitting it to an engine, we would like to test it for deflection as per print Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 556 herewith, and to compare it with the deflection of disc Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 584 (now GB.5013) which has not previously been tested. Please therefore arrange to have a disc GB.5013 (Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 584) available for testing at the same time. When testing, do not load up to exceed .050 deflection in twist, but load up to 200 lbs. parallel to shaft. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /NRC. {N. R. Chandler} | ||
