| -2- rebound buffers. For want of information on the Jackall jack we have shown a standard Sessions jack. This drawing also shows the wheel movements. We have taken the opportunity of making the geometry of the wheel movement better than on the present Wraith, and as good as the Wraith II wheel movement on Phantom III. N.Sch.5057 shows the arrangement of the central steering lever and the centre of the pan. As previously stated in the plan view the central steering lever is unaltered, but in the elevation there is a different set for the lever on the side steering tube. For the convenience of the mock-up we have retained the same steering pivot as already issued. The radiator mounting has been simplified for mock-up purposes. On this drawing we also took the opportunity of showing the brake equaliser mechanism which is materially the same as already instructed. On N.Sch.5060 we show the shape of the pressing for the front cross member or pan with the necessary windows. The brake idler lever is shown and it will be noticed that the whole of the parts are those already instructed for Wraith II. The front frame extension and its attachment to the pan or front cross member is shown on N.Sch.5061. One of the rules of the game is that the frame extension should use the bolting of the existing Wraith II suspension, and so far we have succeeded in conforming to this. The two 'U' shaped members are spot welded together and in between them is inserted an aluminium distance piece or packing to take the crushing load of the bolts. The cross member is spot welded and bolted to the frame extension. We have yet to send you particulars of the spring and its mounting, and the shock damper fixing plate. The purpose of sending you these blueprints is to enable you to make a mock-up as suggested by Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} that we should do as soon as we had the general idea of a complete scheme. Actually if the parts of this design were produced the scheme would work and could be used on a car, but should it be decided to go for this scheme the whole will need revision in order to consider the details of the design. the methods of manufacture and the question of cost.
