PEREGRINE(Experimental Bentley car never produced / Aero Engine) OIL TEMPERATURE. On the run down from Derby to London with the first Peregrine(Experimental Bentley car never produced / Aero Engine) going to France, the oil temperature inlet to the bearings was recorded. During the few bursts of speed which were permissible the oil temperature rose to 100°C. The air temperature being no more than 13°C. This confirms the results mentioned in our Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 3/MJ.28.7.32. where the heat given to the oil on the test bed appeared to be more than with our other engines.
