| To BJ. from R. {Sir Henry Royce} c. to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X766 R1/M23.6.27. 40/50 BONNET SHUTTERS. X. 766 X. 8260 X.1085 I quite agree with your memo. BJ5/D20.6.27., and that is why it was done years ago. Now things have slightly changed, our cooling is better, though naturally not sufficient under bad conditions of climate and driving. What I was after was a better appearance and simplification of all RR. cars, and saving money, because only a few would have to be fitted with louvres. £28 for cutting and forming the louvres is an absurd price. How many hundreds for the bonnet, and how many XXXX thousands for the car? R. {Sir Henry Royce} | ||
