| SECRET. To E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Hg. Sg {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} 10/24.2.31 - 2 - to discuss this matter with me as, so far as I can see, it will be necessary to include them all in the chassis price and fit them up in a panel. I doubt if we can afford A.T.Speedometers and Watford clocks and I want to go into the question of what others there are on the market of a reliable kind and less expensive. Another point I mentioned to you is that the chassis must be complete with a front apron and the back ought also to be cleaned up as on modern cars instead of showing the petrol tank with all its pipes and bits etc. Another point is ventilators for the bonnet. Although these are not standard on the 20/25 to-day, I consider that some form of ventilation should be provided so that, if cars go to hot climates, the provision is there without going to the trouble and expense of changing bonnets etc., and I suggest the provision of two bonnet ventilators of the scuttle ventilator type such as were recently agreed would be the best practice for 40/50's.
