X2012 CALCULATION OF CAPACITY OF CONDENSER.

Let capacity reactance be w ohms.

w = volts/amps. = 1/pK (dimensions LT⁻¹)

So that K = 1/pw farads.

= 10⁶/pw mf.

p = 2π f = 262 sec⁻¹
∴ K = 3820/w mf.

If volts = 205
amps. = C
K = (3820 C)/205
= 18.6 C.

If C be measured as volts on pocket voltmeter
C = V {VIENNA} /37.8
∴ K = .49 V mf = .49 x reading.
