STARTER MOTOR WITH SELF LUBRICATING BEARINGS.
The starter motor has upon several occasions failed to engage upon the first attempt. The pinion has rubbed on the flywheel teeth without engaging. Slight damage has consequently been caused to the flywheel teeth. Examination of the motor does not give any definite reason of the non engagement. It is free in the bearings and no stickiness in the fleet of the armature.
---
The rear illuminated plate, as reported, was not earthed positively. Coachbuilders should be informed of the necessity of earthing separate units built into the body.
---
The aluminium tube carrying the off-side wing lamp broke away from the clips. The clip is not a good job. This was supplied and fitted up by Park Wards.
---
The windscreen motor fell off owing to the bolts becoming loose.
---
BODYWORK.
The non draught windows in the driving compartment very quickly flapped about owing to loss in the friction drive. They are satisfactory with regard to ventilation without draught.
The front wings and headlamps are steady.
The N/S; front wing has started to crack at the extreme corner near the running board.
