We have asked Hancock to do some investigation work on 21-EX car which is at present at Grenoble.

While he is not running mileage, we do not want Hancock to keep a large number of men at Chateauroux(French test region).
We have therefore asked him to try and fix up with you at Sevres to do any big jobs on the car. We anticipate that you will be able to fix up to have the car at Sevres for short periods i.e., possibly for one night without anybody observing it.

The job we have in mind which we particularly asked Hancock to do is to try a standard Phantom front axle on 21-EX car. The changeover is a perfectly straightly-forward job and we have done it in our Shop here.

We should be very glad if you could do your best to accommodate Hancock.
