C.W. Ward, Esq.,
Messrs. Park Ward & Co., Ltd.,
473, High Road,
Willesden,
LONDON N.W.10.

Dear Mr. Ward,

We are sending you herewith a revised copy of General Instructions for M.40 - 4 Light Body No.1. You will see that a change has been made in the method of finishing the inside of the boot lid. {A. J. Lidsey} Will you please scrap the copy that you have.

We also send you a specification of the materials for this body. This deals mainly with special fittings and materials. You will see that there are two columns which are headed "Obtained by R.R. and P.W.". The column in which an x is placed denotes whether we are obtaining the parts mentioned or whether we have left them for you to supply. We have not attempted to specify all the standard stuff required, as we take it that you have stocks of these parts and that they can be drawn from your Stores as required.

We have the majority of the fittings specified and should there be any of them that you want, please let us know and we will send them on to you. If however, you are not actually wanting them immediately, we will keep them here until we get the complete sets.

Regarding the lid {A. J. Lidsey} for the spare wheel compartment a blueprint of which we have sent to you, we find that it is necessary to make a change in this, as since obtaining a number plate from Messrs. Joseph Lucas, we see that this differs from the drawing which they supplied to us. A modified print will be sent to you within the course of the next few days.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE, LTD.,
