Re. Lodge Sparking Plugs.

Na {Mr Nadin} (C.for Mcr.) EP {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} 9/W14115.

With reference to yours JR {Mr James Royce} 1/J91214,
we have tested these plugs on our
Demonstration Car and also on the
Dynamometer.

As regards running on the dynamometer,
i.e. full power, high speed conditions,
they are reported as being quite satisfactory,
except that there is a tendency for a
leakage through the joint of the centre stem,
through the porcelain.

As regards the running on the road,
however, they are reported as not being
satisfactory, as they give trouble with this
firing, especially at low speeds. Also,
they do not stand oil, and they are also
rather difficult to clean.

We have credited the 12 plugs into
the stores, to be dealt with as per your
instructions.
