CORNICHE(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced) CHASSIS FOR COMPLETION.

Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has now instructed that one Corniche(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced) chassis should be despatched to France to have a body fitted. This is necessary because two Corniche(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced) bodies are being built in France. At the present moment there are four Corniche(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced) chassis stored in London and the gear-boxes off these have been allocated in order to enable us to complete standard cars.

However, in order to enable the car to be road-tested in France with the body on, which is very important, we will send one of these chassis over complete and we shall have to find another gear-box for the standard production car. This should be possible when the 7 gear-boxes of the latest type, which are being made, are completed.

Unless C. has any objection, the chassis I provisionally allocate is B.2.AW.
