Re : 20/50 SECOND HALF OF "T" SERIES.

Thanks for your telephone message of yesterday regarding the radiator.

PN. {Mr Northey} , CX. {Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} and I saw this car and we rather agreed with your view, i.e. that the lowering of the radiator had been overdone by about 1".

We also though it would be better if the front apron were of the same type as has been adopted as standard for the 40/50, i.e. the type that goes straight forward (nicely shapes of course) from the bottom of the radiator.

An additional advantage will be that it will help to hide the starting handle tube which on the car we saw looked very conspicuous and rather ugly in consequence.

I have asked Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to try to rig up by the time I go to Derby on Tuesday next an apron of this type, blanking off about 1" at the bottom of the radiator so that it will give us the appearance of the radiator made 1" higher at the bottom than on the sample car.

Re Peregrine(Experimental Bentley car never produced / Aero Engine), I note you say that Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} agrees with WW. that this should be just under 18 HP. or we shall compare badly with Morris and Austin.

I do not previously remember hearing that you thought it ought to go above the 16 HP. class which we previously discussed but I am quite open to consider any suggestion and should like to know exactly what the R.A.C. rating proposed would be.

Now that the 20/25 is going to go up a little in size, it will not perhaps matter so much if the Peregrine(Experimental Bentley car never produced / Aero Engine) goes up a shade, but you will remember when we originally discussed the matter, we felt that a £16 tax was a nice round figure and that even £1 or £2 more sounded too near £20.
