| -2- E {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} /Ev. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 11/MW. 8.4.37. With respect to the rear seat, the squab is hard and will not allow the passenger to get into it while the rear seat is hard and too high. Both front and rear cushions are air-bound, there being no air holes in the back of the cushions. The air holes in the bottom of the cushions are blanked off by the felt mat on the top of the seat board. Mr.Hives has drawn our attention to the inaccuracy of these seats and we have been instructed to put them right. In order to do this and to save time and money, we are doing this at Messrs.Sanderson & Holmes. If you would like someone from your staff to verify our comments on these seats the car will be available for him to see if he comes up immediately. In order to avoid any difficulty in this direction we must arrange to try the seats of the two cars you have in hand prior to delivery.
