Dear Sirs. Ref. Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} /Ms14/FJ8.2.21

In answer to yours of the 8th.inst. We have applied for a Patent on a device which is intended to compete with the "Alemite" system of lubrication. Our experiments seem to be successful and we hope shortly to be able to send you a sample for inspection. We hope, therefore that you will be able to wait a week or two before definitely placing your orders elsewhere.

Yours faithfully.
