Bt {Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} reports on his chassis 48-TW as follows :-
"48-TW has run 4,000 miles since the new pistons
"were fitted and no trouble is experienced with
"either elusive knock or piston knocks. On starting
"up from cold there is a very slight piston tap
"noticeable, but this is gone within a minute without
"holding the extra oil valve down. Compressions are
"good and there seems to be little trouble experienced
"with "blowing past". The fumes from the engine are
"scarcely every noticeable now, though before the
"fitting of the new pistons they were exceedingly bad."
