C.A.V-Willard are round about 80 lbs. only, whereas their lighting capacities are about 55 and 65 ampere-hours.
The U.S.A. Willard battery, also of weight round about 80 lbs., although rather low in low rate discharge capacity, 50 a.h., was quite good on high rate discharge capacity.

The query suggests itself as to whether the reduction of electrical efficiency is really necessary for good life, as it must be remembered that failures we have experienced in the Exide cells have not really been due to these being electrically efficient, and with the recent modifications, with still a reasonable electrical efficiency, it is not yet apparent that the life of the battery will be short.
