We are carrying out investigations on 19 EX as regards to rear braking, propeller shaft joints, servo efficency, loss of oil from rear of engine case.

This week end I shall leave instructions for the examination of all brakes; oiling of brake toggle shafts and generally all points lubricated by the central lubrication scheme.

This work will fully occupy the men for the time that I expect to be away.

Taking 19 EX all round it is not as good a car as 18 EX neither for springing, power, or steering. Engine detonations are much more pronounced on this car than they were on 18 EX.

I am not sending any men back until I have seen you and know exactly what the programe is. I shall be at the works on monday morning.
