FRONT STEERING PIVOTS.

There is also a friction device fitting to the pivots. It has not prevented the road wheels developing almost into a wobble. The steering is heavy and is not selective.

FRONT & REAR BRAKES. Loz.G.80953. E.G.2204, 3931.
R.R.SCH.510-11-12-32B. Loz.G.81059.

Front brakes wider Checo incorporating linings secured by Bifurcated Rivets.

The brakes have been efficient, progressive and smooth in action, free from squeaks. The wear up to this mileage has been:-

Rear. O.S. 5 half turns. Front. O.S. 2 half turns
Rear. N.S. 4 half turns. Front. N.S. 2 half turns
of adjustment.

REAR AXLE.

Loz.G.80430. E.Z.3831-3722. R.R.SCH.457.
11 x 41 Ratio.

The axle has been free from oil leaks. There is a period which is audible at approx. 50 M.P.H. and is more noticeable when rolling than when full torque is used, above and below this speed the axle is quiet.

ELECTRICAL FITTINGS.

VOLTAGE CONTROLLED DYNAMO.

There has been no trouble with the dynamo.
The output has been sufficient to keep the battery fully charged with approx. four hours each day of night driving with maximum discharge from battery. The amount of distilled water added to the battery is a quarter of a pint.

IGNITION COIL AND CONTACT POINTS USING B.74117 CIRCULAR CONDENSER.

The battery ignition contact points are in a very good condition. No wear has taken place with the Tufnal rubbing block. The point gaps were set to .018" at the beginning of the test and are .018" at this mileage.
