A marked improvement is shown but the curves still turn over. This, however, occurs above 0.4 G. {Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} instead of below 0.3 G. {Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} and is therefore less serious. It was found however, that the angle of roll at 0.4 G. {Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} had increased from 4.2° to 6.2°, which is greater than the average American car and is undesirable.

The Oldsmobile front roll rod was then fitted by a simple adaption. This was shown on the weigh bridges to increase the front roll rating by 51 lbs/ins. and the effect on the road was to give less impression of roll than the standard Wraith with rear roll rod although the measured rating of this was 66 lbs/ins. This is because rear seat passengers are thrown sideways less on an understeering car, when going into a corner. The actual roll ratings were then 169 lbs/ins. front and 162 lbs/ins. rear as measured on the weigh bridges.

Curves were then taken of a Wraith fitted up in this manner and are shown in Fig. 4.
