B.S. INDUCTION SYSTEM.

As a result of preliminary tests carried out on the hand mixture control we have decided to go for the automatic Starting Carburetter. This cancels instructions given in Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /CTS. {C. Trot Salt - Carburation} 4/JH.25.2.39.

Various improvements have recently been made to the Starting Carburetter, and we now find that the raised engine mounting makes provision of a hand mixture control that will not rattle, exceedingly awkward. Rattling controls are one of the most irritating features of a car.

The automatic Starting Carburetter also applies to the "Corniche(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced)" Bentley, which means that we shall have only three controls instead of four on this column.

Will By {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /CS. please instruct accordingly.

Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer}
