| To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Sft.{Mr Swift} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} } from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} X240 c.c By/SS.{S. Smith} re 3½ litre Bentley. Referring to the minutes of the Conference with WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} of May 24th, it was decided that the first 15 chassis should not be fitted with radiator shutters, and although not mentioned in the minutes it naturally follows that thermostatic control of the water will be required on these 15 chassis, and also water heating to the induction pipe jackets in place of exhaust. This was quite clearly understood at the Conference in question, and we are circulating this note so that there will be no doubt about the instructions issued for the separate sections.
