To CK.{Mr Clark} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} X3362 E4/G10/3/20. X3362 RE LIGHTING INSTALLATION AT WEST WITTERINGHenry Royce's home town. Would you kindly order, and send to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town, the following material for Mr. Royce, and have same charged to his account:- 100 yards of vulcanised rubber conductor - three strands of 20 S.W.G. copper wire. The outside diameter of the insulation is expected to be .200" and two conductors of this size should go easily into the Simplex tubing of .625" outside diameter. If the conductors are any larger than specified in outside diameter, they will not be suitable. 100 yards of 40/36's with vulcanised rubber and braided insulation as standardised for the smaller conductors on the R.R. chassis earthed lighting system. If not obtainable, please order 3/22's Simplex. Either of these two cables should not be larger in outside diameter than .150", so that they will go easily into an ½" outside diameter simplex tube for house wiring. If this latter condition is not fulfilled, the cable will not be suitable. Would you kindly forward this material at the earliest possible moment.
