To R & E Contd. -2- EFC2/T1.12.21. Yesterday we had a visit from J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Henderson, D.Sc., M.I.E.E. of The Insulating & Waterproofing Compounds Company, 99 Curtain Road, E.C. (Works :- Peckham S.E.) who we understand was sent here by Messrs. Royce Limited as possibly being of some assistance to us in this matter. He promised to send us a number of sample varnishes suitable for the various purposes for which we use these. In particular we pointed out to him that we require a more satisfactory varnish for placing on the plates of mica condensers in building these up. He had a number of samples of paper impregnated with special varnish +and demonstrated the flexibility of such papers. we told him, however, it would be considered impracticable for us to perform the impregnating process ourselves, but we would prefer to buy suitable paper already prepared. He promised that he would himself make enquiries of the De la{L. A. Archer} Rue Company in London, we not having so far sent an enquiry to that particular firm. EPC. The varnish referred to is their Insulating Compound M.R.&95. | ||
