You will remember that at the meeting at W. on the 26th ult. there was a discussion about fitting a Van Vooren body on an experimental chassis. Sr. has since reported that Van Vooren have a suitable body ready for mounting and that provided they have finishing instructions forthwith, can mount it and finish the car in three or four weeks after receipt of the chassis. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has given instructions for the body to be definitely ordered from Van Vooren. The suggestion is that it should be mounted on Chassis No. 6-B-1V instead of the standardised saloon by Park Ward recently reserved for this chassis. Will you please arrange for the chassis to be sent to Van Vooren, Paris, under temporary admission advising us and Sr. when it will go. You will no doubt see that when it goes there is nothing on it you do not want Van Vooren to know about. You will, of course, have to pay duty on the body when the car comes back to England. As regards finishing instructions, we suggest that we transfer those issued for the Park Ward body, i.e. upholstery of green leather like the pattern attached, exterior in black cellulose with a fine white line. Please confirm that you are agreeable. Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} | ||
