circulation. The present system is very little different from the latter except that the oil pipes are removed from the crank pins. We should not expect this to make a marked difference in the quantity of heat requiring dissipation.

RAE. have promised to send us a copy of these curves.

All the performance tests on these two engines are not yet completed and we hope to get further information at the conclusion of the tests.

The present results appear satisfactory so far as would be anticipated by comparison with the test bed performance.

The fact that these engines shew up quite well for fuel consumption in flight and thereby indicate their suitability for long range work should encourage us to refine the carburation with the object of still better economy and the elimination of the troubles we experience due to their susceptibility to air intakes. This accomplished, on the lines of our S/C. carburetters, we think would give us results in advance of almost anything in a similar class.
