R.R. 199 (F) (S.D.676 19-7-17) MP 180865 BY2-P6.10.22. contd. - 2 - (6) Spring Washers. I have examined a delivery of the washers in question and find your complaints are justified, even in the bulk. I cannot understand anybody attempting to fit up parts with such poor stuff in the shape of washers which should have been reported, and would at once have been returned. In any case I am investigating the whole issue and criticising the inspection for allowing these things to come through. (7) We are altering the material of the screws holding down the terminal pads, from Delta metal to steel - our object in using Delta metal was to prevent rusting, which we thought was liable to occur in the case of steel. We agree that the contact, however, would remain good, because we tin the surface on to which the terminal XXXXXX is pressed down, as well as tinning the terminal itself. BY.{R.W.
