E.R. Hall, Esq.,
Hotel de Paris,
Le Mans,
FRANCE.

Dear Hall,

I am sorry to hear about the complications with regard to the race. However, there seems to be some hope of it being run next week-end. In any case it would be of great value to us if you could get a final figure for the racing car with the big wheels, and let us know whether in your opinion the gear ratio is correct or not.

The other thing if it is hot is, if there is any chance of the car over-heating with no fan, and whether the petrol pumps function satisfactorily at high temperatures. Do not be afraid of running the car, we have now run 46 hours' endurance on all the running parts on the test bed, so you need not be afraid of wearing the engine out with a few practice runs.

Yours sincerely,
