XSR 30 To WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.1/HP.19.12.34. c.c. Bgs. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Shortened Throttle and Ignition Levers. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}1/R.14.12.34. I definitely agree that the shortened control levers are an improvement on the present type. Apart from appearance they have a definite advantage in reducing the possibility of the drivers fingers being trapped between the wheel spokes and the control levers.
