Our calculated figures for the coil at 500 R.P.M. of the contact breaker show that the final current to which the rise of current approximates is 2.9 amps, that the current at break at this speed is 2.65 amps., whereas practically the short circuit current is only about 2.0 amps, hence, running dead slow, the current at break is smaller than the current at break at 500 R.P.M.
