1345 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/MH.{M. Huckerby} 12th. March, 1940. R.{Sir Henry Royce} Summers, Esq., Denna Hall, Burton Point, Nr. CHESTER. Dear Dick, Further to our conversation yesterday I would be glad if you could let me have the running costs of your transport fleet. What I am particularly anxious to know is the relative running cost per ton mile between the Leyland and the Bedford trucks, sub-divided into drivers' wages, fuel, oil, tyres and general maintenance and depreciation. I am extremely interested in your oil bill on the Bedfords, because I believe I can reduce your expenditure on lubricant and at the same time prolong your engine life. Yours sincerely, | ||
