X.1627 - SPECIFICATION OF INSPECTION & TEST FOR LUCAS E.575 DYNAMO. X.3014.

We attach two copies of our specification of inspection and test which we have made up for the Lucas E.575 dynamo, together with two copies of a table showing results we have obtained for the six dynamos loaned to us for the purpose. It will be seen that five out of the six comply with our specification but that R.1293 is rather low on open circuit voltage although alright in output at speed. This would imply that this would be rather later than the others in the cutting in point, and therefore a certain loss of ampere hour out-put would occur on this particular dynamo as compared with the others when fitted to chassis.
