X1087 E.6/HP. 20th October 1933. Messrs. S.U.Co., Bordesley Green Road, Adderley Park, BIRMINGHAM. Dear Sirs, Bentley Carburetters. We have had one or two instances of the float chamber fixing coming loose on the Bentley carburetters, and we think some modification should be made to render this attachment more secure. We attach herewith a blueprint of Lec.3672 shewing the proposal for fixing the position of the floatchamber by means of a dowel. If the floatchamber is thus fixed we do not think the actual securing screw itself will come undone. A further advantage attahhed to the use of this dowel is that it definitely defines the correct position of the floatchamber on the job and prevents the latter from fouling the throttle control. We should be glad if you can kindly let us know when this modification can be incorporated Yours faithfully, For and on behalf of ROLLS-ROYCE Limited From A.G.Elliott. CHIEF DESIGNER ATT: | ||
