the pressure was almost certainly all right and the engine had been properly warmed up, at the time of the breakage was running at about 5000 r.p.m.
The owner has entered the car for the Whit Monday races at Brooklands and we are particularly anxious to have it right and can just get it ready and reasonably run in in the time.
We should be deeply grateful if you could give us any information about your experience of this metal as a connecting rod as to clearances, lubrication grooves, possible distortion under heat, etc. and also as to the desirability of using Colloidal Graphite in the oil.
If at all possible we should like a reply by return as we wish to build the engine up after we have heard from you.
