600a To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. By/NS.{Norman Scott} Referring to FCD.526 we have examined 2G.G.VI car after 15,000 miles in France and are of the opinion that the side mud shield on the bonnet rest plates, shown on FCD.526, are unnecessary and therefore should not be added on the grounds of expense. The gap between the frame and the bonnet rest plate is small enough and sufficiently well forward to have little effect on the cleanliness of the engine etc. Actually Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} informs us that 2G.G.VI engine has kept cleaner than any previous 15,000 miles car. The aluminium covers for the frame holes are necessary and have already been requested by us. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. | ||
