x 2915 Hsl/LG. STAMP: RECEIVED NOV 9 9th. Nov. 1920. Waltham Watch Company Ltd., Motor Accessory Dept., 125 High Holborn, London W.C.1. Dear Sirs, With reference to the Speedometer which we have on loan from you for testing purposes. We have found this speedometer very reliable - the following are our criticisms:- 1. The Speedometer is the wrong hand for Rolls-Royce Cars. We should say the speedometer was made suitable for the American Cars with the left-hand drive which, in that case, the Speedometer Drive is taken from the left-hand side of the Car. 2. We prefer a moving hand in preference to a moving dial. 3. We also prefer a black finish with silvered letters. We should be pleased if you could let us know whether you can supply us immediately with one Speedometer identical in shape to the one which we have except that it will be a right-hand for Rolls-Royce cars. We require a driving cable 7' 6" long and the necessary driving pulley. We are very anxious to get hold of this Speedometer immediately because we wish to fit it on to an experimental Car which will be used by Mr. Royce. We will send you on an order for this Speedometer as soon as we know that you can supply. Please let us know the price. Yours faithfully, | ||
