X.3362 EFC7/T9.9.19. To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. c. to CJ. c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} X.3362 - LIGHTING INSTALLATION AT WEST WITTERINGHenry Royce's home town X.1114 Regarding lamps for the above, we have ascertained definitely that it is quite impossible to obtain 12 volt 12 watt, half watt type lamps from either - (a) The Ediswan Company. (b) The General Electric Company. (c) The B.T.H. Company. Each of these three makers definitely state that the lowest wattage which can be obtained for 12 volts, is 24 watts which lamps give approximately 48 c.p. Shall we send on the remaining four of the six 12 volt ordinary metallic filament lamps of Ediswan make, which are listed as of 18 watts, 21 c.p., although previously stated as only being 16 c.p., or would you prefer to have the slightly larger 24 watt. 28 c.p. which we can obtain from the Ediswan Company. If, however, you prefer these latter, one might as well have half watt lamps of the same wattage which give nearly double the candle power. EFC. | ||
