Of this type, the B.T.H SC12-7 magneto has a 9.0 mm safety gap, and we consider that the safety gap on these Watford machines should be increased to 8.5 mm at least, so as to meet our specification which we are preparing, and to obtain better sparking externally. There should be no difficulty as regards insulation with this type of magneto having a stationary armature.
