Resolving noise issues in a balancing cam mechanism and tappets by fitting new parts.

The balancing cam mechanism was very
noisy and new rollers and pins were fitted to the cam
followers and these new parts improved the balancing
cam mechanism considerably.

Nos. 1 & 2 tappets were noisy and new
rollers and pins were fitted to these parts also.

Attached is curve G.V.48 showing
power curves with various cylinder blocks and the
different valve timings used during the tests.
