Sr/VAI/ET.21.2.39 - 3 - As far as we can tell, we do not think that the trouble has been due to a shortage of oil in the engine. We think that the probable cause has been the breaking away of the white metal from N°3 rod, which may have partly obstructed the oil flow to the bearing, or loss of metal which may have caused a large oil flow past the bearing, with subsequent drop in the oil pressure. Will "C" kindly note that we have not written to Lord Somers. May we suggest that a letter be sent by the Administration. Sr/VA. JA | ||
