Dear Sirs,

We send herewith a drawing Ex.27423 showing how we propose to replace a plain bush in a gearbox by a caged roller bearing.

Owing to the lack of space available, we think we shall have to make both the inner and outer tracks integral with the gearbox shafts, and ask you to supply an assembly consisting of the rollers and cage.

On the drawing we send you we show dimensions which would suit us, but on the other hand, we should like to make use of your standard parts, if possible.

Will you please let us know whether you can supply assemblies of the size we show, in which case we should like to have two for test as soon as possible. If the rollers we show are not a standard size, will you mark on this drawing the nearest standard arrangement which would go on, and we would then see whether this would suit our purpose.

Yours faithfully,

For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
