-2- 3. If it is necessary to remove the rocker shafts after the tappets have been in operation, the plungers and casings must be emptied of oil before rebuilding. Otherwise, when tightening down the rocker shafts, the cast-iron eccentrics may catch on the stops and crack. In order to avoid a similar risk when fitting, the engine should be turned in such a position that the 6 push rods are down. | ||
