Bentley III.

We give herewith a proposed specification for Bentley III arrived at as the result of a discussion between Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} and E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}

GENERAL.
Wheelbase - 10' 2.6".
Front track - 56.5". Rear Track 56.6" (as present)
Radiator 5" further forward than now, relative to the front wheels.
Engine 3.4" further forward than now.
Body space as present Bentley.
Rear seat in same position relative to rear axle.
Rear leg room same as present 25/30 continental body.
Visibility as present car.
Height of car as at present.
Easy access doors on both sides.

ENGINE UNIT.
As Wraith III new engine, including modified cylinder block with wet liners. Wraith III four port cylinder head with induction system to suit two S.U. carburetters. High front engine mounting using Wraith III parts. Provision on engine for thermostatic bypass water temperature control.

ENGINE CONTROLS.
To suit above.

EXHAUST FITTINGS.
New, to suit four port head and new frame.

RADIATOR.
Moved forward 5" - fixed shutters - cheapened radiator on Wraith III lines.

BONNET.
To suit wide dashboard. Widney concealed bonnet hinge - possibly steel bonnet.

STARTING HANDLE.
Lightened, cheapened one piece handle.
