Origin: To facilitate jacking up the car. Experimental Test Report: It is almost impossible to use an ordinary jack under the car axle of a Phantom II car. The permanent jack has become almost a necessity on large cars. Road Test Report: Fitted to 19-EX. ran 20,000 miles. The jacks were damaged and in one case lost due to inefficient ground clearance.
